Your Alexa page rank is above 2 million though in other countries your rank is pretty good which surprises you. Anyone know how that come?

Alexa pagerank is worked out on visitors that have Alexa toobar installed on their computers and use it and visit sites.

So in my case of being New Zealand based topsite for instance.. No one/hardly uses Alexa toolbar or even heard of it. So therefore my Alexa page rank is in the millions too. The best thing to do if you have many visitors and members is to encourage users/members to install the tool bar. Alexa is a subsidiary of Amazon.

I've never bothered with it, because I don't care. But if your website has advertising oppertunities, I guess webmasters look at the Alexa rank as a guide. Your website could be the best around, but have a really bad rank all because users don't have a toolbar. Beats me why it is used as a guide by webbies, as its not a very good guide for that reason, in my book. But it seems nesessary.
